Dear Misha, I don't think you have ever seen "Public Insult" as I now call it. It has never been done in Seattle. The Empty Space didn't do it... because the director fell ill.However, if you go to http://www.handketrans.scriptmania.com
you will see what that "grenade" is about. In other words, the end is like Haydn's Surprise Symphony. Otherwise it is an essay on being in the theater, in the world. If done at the opening of the season of the major houses here, and intermittently, out of the blue, it would go a long way to making the gigglers aware.

P.S. And be careful in what you call audacious, what will you use when something that really is comes along? [this regarding that poor sod of a wanna be non-philistine, calling the rest of the Seattle Season "audacious". Ms. Berson and I had an e-mail exchange about a year ago, on the occasion of my long list of partilars, during which she strenously sought to claim the status of "non-philistinism".... alas, poor Yorick..
